With an experience of 60 years, our facilities have been developed to manufacture different types of nozzles used in various fields. In 1960, spurred by a desire for innovation and a commitment to engineering excellence, Mr. Birendra Nath Neogie ventured beyond the confines of the family’s traditional jewelry business to establish Neogie Engineering Works. Armed with his stellar BE Mechanical Engineering degree from Shibpur University and a vision to innovate, he founded Neogie Engineering Works. Recognizing the need for high quality domestically manufactured engineering items, Mr. Neogie aimed to supply industries with top-tier precision engineered goods and gear boxes.
Within the initial years, Mr. Niyogi assembled a dedicated workforce and secured orders from prominent names such as Braithwait, AEI, and GEC. Expanding the company product line to include NSBP items (NUTS, STUDS, BOLTS AND PINS), Neogie Engineering Works soon became a trusted supplier to companies like Calcutta Fans and Belliss & Morcom India Ltd, Gestetner, Avery India.
In 1973, the legacy continued with the entry of Mr. Somen Kumar Niyogi, a mechanical engineering graduate from UK. With his expertise, the company acquired new clients like Indian Oxygen, TELCO, TRF, OCCL.A significant milestone was achieved when Neogie Engineering Works aided PCBL Durgapur in substantial cost savings by supplying them with the in-house manufactured 30-30 model nozzles. Thena pivotal moment arrived when Neogie Engineering Works secured its first order from TATA Steel Ltd., Jamshedpur. It was an intricate nozzle used in Gooseneck installed in coke ovens.
As the company gained momentum, it attracted orders from industrial giants like PCBL Durgapur, CCIL, Vizag Steel Plant, Bhilai steel plant, DSP. This move replaced imports from U.S.-based companySpraying Systems, cutting expenses significantly.
The company entered a period of rapid expansion under the leadership of Debanjan Niyogi, an engineer from CMRIT Bangalore. In 2016, Neogie Engineering Works executed their first project work in Tata Steel Kalinga Nagar( KPO ) for dust suppression systems. The company’s commitment to customer satisfaction led to specialized commissioning and installation services for esteemed clients, fostering a culture of client-centricity and symbiotic relationships.
Diversifying its portfolio, Neogie Engineering Works designed proprietary items like the non-clogging spiral nozzle for Jindal Steel , Barbil later used as Top Spray Nozzles in TATA Steel’s blast furnaces. The company’s product line expanded to encompass various dust suppression systems and precision nozzles, earning it the status of a preferred vendor among India’s industrial giants.
Further showcasing its versatility, Neogie Engineering Works ventured into public infrastructure projects, installing its first public ball fountain in the multi-storey parking of Rawdon Street. A grand fountain adorned the vicinity of SIMPARK MALL in Kolkata’s iconic New Market area, cementing the company’s legacy of excellence.
